New York-based job and candidate search engine Workistry.com announced it will host an online job fair in Africa to connect the continent’s best talents with employers around the world, and the other way around.
Workistry.com also has offices in London, Johannesburg and Lagos.
The job fair is set for July 17 to August 17 2015. It will bring about 30,000 employers from 98 countries online to hire professionals from Africa and the rest of the world.
The free candidate search engine basically connects employers to jobseekers and uses its algorithms to match employers’ job vacancies to qualified talents in its database.
Though newly launched, the firm aims to use the online fair to gain a following on the continent, especially in Nigeria, where One Africa Media’s Jobberman is dominating.
According to Benjamin Onuoha, director of business development (Africa), “we want to create an equal and seamless employment platform for everyone. We are hoping that candidates will use this opportunity to make a fresh start, take a better job, or a new career direction”.
